Hello! My name is Catherine Pruden and this is my third year teaching third grade at Shields Elementary! I grew up in Oscoda and graduated from Oscoda High School. I attended SVSU twice! I graduated in 1999 with a Bachelors of Social Work and then in 2006, I received my Bachelors of Education. I am currently working on my Masters in Curriculum and Instruction through Concordia ofAnn Arbor. In 2006, I student taught in first grade here at Shields, taught in the Summer Success Program for 5 years, and subbed since 2006 in Swan Valley, Saginaw City and Saginaw Township Schools.  I also taught 3 and 4-year-olds at Peter Pan Preschool for one year. I am looking forward to another great year at Shields Elementary!

I live in Saginaw with my husband, Wes, and our two sons, Beckett and Parker. We have a black lab named Hunter. We enjoy boating, fishing, camping, traveling, and spending time with our family and friends!
