I am Mrs. DuCharme. I am the Principal of Shields Elementary School. This will be my 14th year with Swan Valley School District. I have earned a Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education from Central Michigan University. I have earned a Master's of Education in Teaching Reading degree from Saginaw Valley State University along with a Reading Specialist endorsement. I also have a Master's degree in K-12 Administration along with my Educational Specialist degree. It is my vision that the faculty and staff at Shields Elementary will work collaboratively with students, parents, and community members to provide an education that allows each child to reach his/her fullest potential academically and socially.
