My name is Gina Wilson. I currently teach Kindegarten at Shields Elementary. I have been teaching for 10 years. My first year I taught 3rd grade in Saginaw Public Schools. Then I started teaching here at Shields Elementary. I have taught for 8 years in first grade. This is my first year teaching kindergarten.  However, when I was going to college I worked in a kindergarten room for 8 years. I am very blessed to be in such a wonderful and supportive district!

I received my teaching degree from Saginaw Valley State University. I also received my  Masters in Teaching Reading from SVSU along with my Reading Specialist endorsement.

My life keeps me on my toes. I have been married for 5 years and I have a 19 year old daughter,a 16 year old son, and a 2 year old son! I am very blessed to have such wonderful family!

My husband and I completely gutted out a 1920's farm house, which is currently our home. We have worked very hard on this. ( I would never do it again! :)  )

I love to play cards, swim in our pool, and go camping and fishing.  My time with my family is priceless so I try to fit as much of it in as possible.

I love teaching and I am so glad to be a part of your child's education. I am looking forward to a rewarding year with your child. I will encourage them to find their strenghths and build on them.  I truly care and I am very passionate about my work and love my students as if they were my own.
